Chapter 132: I Even Held You When You Were Little!
"Mr. Sheng, I have found out that Lin Feng is not here right now. It seems he went to Tianya Island..."
When Sheng Chao and his men arrived at the small island where the show was being recorded and stepped off their small boat, the shore was already empty. Not far away, a few people who looked like staff members were cleaning up the aftermath.
Hearing his secretary’s report, Sheng Chao narrowed his eyes.
"Tianya Island?"
"Yes, it’s an island just half an hour away from here. It’s a small vacation spot." The secretary said, a lecherous smile spreading across his face. "I guess he must have gone off to fool around with that Xiao Ran, right? They even snuck off to the neighboring island—these two sure know how to have a good time!"
Sheng Chao glanced at him. His previously solemn expression shifted, and he chuckled instead: "They certainly do know how to have a good time!"
"Mr. Sheng, I think this is a rare opportunity. Why don't we head over now? We can catch them while they're in the heat of passion and take him into custody..." The secretary rubbed his hands together, his excitement barely contained; after all, it was rare to encounter such a thrilling scenario.
"Don't cause trouble!" Sheng Chao retorted with a cold snort. "Wait here for him to return. We’ll make our move when he’s alone!"
No matter what, Lin Feng was a member of the Lin family. Although he intended to kidnap him, he absolutely could not harm him under any circumstances!
"Understood!" The secretary nodded, not daring to say another word.
The group returned to the boat. Without Sheng Chao’s orders, no one dared to act on their own.
By dawn, a luxury yacht docked at the shore. Sheng Chao and his men saw a woman in black, whose face was obscured, step off the boat holding a black parasol. Aside from a few bodyguards following her, no one else was seen.
They waited patiently for a little while longer before seeing the small boat marked with the "Hell or Heaven" show logo heading toward the shore. Through his binoculars, Sheng Chao clearly saw that the person standing on the boat was indeed Lin Feng.
"He’s here. Remember, do not reveal your identities under any circumstances. If you fail, call me." Sheng Chao gave the order, signaling his men to move out.
The secretary immediately acknowledged the command, took a few bodyguards off the boat, and began to sneak along the small path toward the back door of the hotel.
It was just past 7:00 AM. The entire hotel was silent; last night's revelry had lasted too long, and everyone was still fast asleep.
Lin Feng did not wake up naturally; he was frozen awake. The island was beautiful, but its only drawback was that it was bitterly cold at night. The biting sea breeze of early morning jolted him from his sleep. Chu Lingxue’s body was also ice cold; the seaside in early spring was at its coldest during the dawn and dusk hours.
Consequently, he had to wake the sleeping Chu Lingxue and send her onto the boat first. According to their earlier agreement, she would return to the main island first, and he would follow shortly after to avoid being seen by others on the island.
Watching the small boat dock, he stretched and stepped off, intending to find a spot in the nearby woods to relieve himself. After drinking a large amount of beer and sitting on the boat for ages, he really couldn't hold it anymore.
In the dense forest not far from the island's shore, he comfortably unbuckled his belt.
But just as he finished and was buttoning up, ready to leave, he heard a rustling sound from the woods behind him.
The next second, a gust of wind struck his ear!
Lin Feng was startled, but almost instinctively, he tilted his body and dodged to the side!
"Good kid, you actually dodged it!"
The attacker held a wooden club, glaring at Lin Feng with predatory eyes, and roared at the people behind him, "Brothers, now! Get him!"
Lin Feng was stunned. In an instant, five or six burly men lunged out from behind the trees around him.
"Wait, you guys..." Just watching me pee?
Before he could finish his sentence, the five or six men rushed straight toward him!
Lin Feng’s expression flickered. Subconsciously, he grabbed a thick tree trunk beside him and, using both hands and feet, scrambled up the tree in a few swift motions. Hugging the trunk, he hooked his arm around a branch, pulled himself up, and planted his toes against the trunk, assuming a position that was easy to defend and hard to attack.
Looking down at them from his perch, he roared, "Who are you people? Stalking someone while they’re taking a leak in broad daylight? Are you sick?!"
"You little brat, nobody is watching you pee! Get down here!"
"Get down?! Do I look like an idiot to you?" Lin Feng twitched his lips, unable to help but retort.
Bringing five or six people to ambush him in the woods—anyone with half a brain could see this wasn't for anything good. Why would he ever come down?
The secretary was momentarily at a loss. Although they were in the woods, it wasn't far from the hotel, and a small path ran right alongside it. Someone could pass by at any moment...
He stared at Lin Feng, pulled his phone from his pocket, and made a call.
"Mr. Sheng... Alright, we’ll wait for you here!"
After hanging up, he signaled his men not to move. They simply stood there, heads tilted back, staring at Lin Feng in the tree. Even though they didn't speak, Lin Feng could roughly infer the meaning of the call.
Someone was coming to cause him trouble!
But he racked his brain and couldn't think of anyone who would come to cause him trouble at a time like this.
The Xu family? Impossible! He knew their situation better than anyone; they probably couldn't even pay their employees' salaries and were struggling to survive themselves. Where would they find the money to hire people to harass him?
Could it be Fang Ziyue? That didn't make sense either. The only people around her who could move were her useless younger brother...
He didn't have his phone on him. When he returned this morning, he hadn't even had time to change his clothes. After tethering the two horses at the shore, he had boarded the boat. Everyone should be sleeping right now, and even on a normal day, almost no one used this small path...
With things as they were, Lin Feng had no choice but to wait in the tree for the mastermind to arrive.
Not long after, he saw a middle-aged man in a suit walking along the small path that extended to the shore. The man was tall and had the air of a business executive.
Lin Feng didn't speak first. As the man approached and surveyed the situation, he suddenly barked, "A bunch of idiots! I told you to invite him, so why are you holding clubs?! Throw them away, now!"
"Yes, yes, yes!" The others nodded hurriedly. The secretary took the lead, tossing his club aside and offering an apologetic smile toward Lin Feng.
The man’s expression shifted. He looked up at Lin Feng, who was still hugging the tree trunk, and his face turned gentle. "Lin Feng, why don't you come down and we can talk?"
His tone was quite polite, but Lin Feng was taken aback. He watched the man warily and said coldly, "You know me?"
The man smiled and said to Lin Feng, "Of course. Lin Feng, there’s no need to be afraid. My name is Sheng Chao, the president of Sheng’s Limited. I even held you when you were a child!"
Sheng’s Limited? Held him?!
Lin Feng froze, looking at Sheng Chao in astonishment. He felt like he had heard that name somewhere before, but it must have been an insignificant connection, as he didn't remember it clearly.
Lin Feng narrowed his eyes slightly. Could it be that his biological father was finally making an appearance?
He clearly sensed that Sheng Chao was harboring ill intentions, so his tone remained unfriendly. "What do you want with me?"
