Chapter 117: Then We Still Have Many Firsts Ahead of Us...
After dinner, Lin Feng exchanged a few simple words with Xiao Ran, and the livestream came to an end.
Although they hadn’t interacted much, the audience was still wildly enthusiastic.
Dating was meant to be a slow process, especially since the two had just met; this pace was already considered fast.
Once the livestream ended, Lin Feng went straight to Chu Lingshuang’s room.
The warm lights recessed into the floor were on, casting a cozy atmosphere throughout the room. The sheets and blankets around Chu Lingshuang had already been tidied, and she was now lying quietly asleep on the bed.
Seeing this, Lin Feng instinctively refrained from disturbing her. After all, she only stayed still when asleep, making things easier for him.
However, as he closed the door, Chu Lingshuang’s voice drifted softly through the room.
“Work’s done?”
Lin Feng swallowed and replied honestly, “Yes.”
She lifted her eyes slightly, lazily shifting her body. “Come over and help rub my waist.”
Crossing to the foot of the bed, his gaze landed on her. The warm light bathed her cheeks, and Lin Feng couldn’t help but marvel.
She was truly beautiful.
Her sweat-dampened hair clung to her face, highlighting her delicate features. Although her expression was noble and aloof, it carried a subtle, seductive charm.
Below that was her alluring figure—her slender waist curved perfectly, and her long legs stretched elegantly.
It was a scene that would challenge anyone’s composure.
Lin Feng took a deep breath and sat by the bed, placing his hands on her waist. “Could you please move a little, Miss Chu?”
Without a word, Chu Lingshuang obediently turned to face away from him.
Concerned she might be uncomfortable lying face down, Lin Feng carefully fetched a pillow to support her neck.
It was his first time massaging someone’s waist.
Still, he had seen plenty of videos online and was familiar with the techniques.
Chu Lingshuang’s figure was relatively tall for a woman, slim but with a soft, fleshy quality. His touch rarely elicited any pain.
Perhaps sensing that his technique was decent, Chu Lingshuang suddenly asked without reason, “Do you often help others with massages?”
“I…” Lin Feng was about to answer but quickly realized the question sounded off. After a moment, he shook his head. “No, this is the first time.”
She raised her eyes clearly, tilting her head slightly and studying him with a sidelong glance. “Really?”
Under her icy gaze, Lin Feng felt a chill and replied truthfully, “Of course. If you don’t believe me, you can have someone check.”
She stared at him for several seconds, seemingly convinced he spoke the truth.
“Good,” Chu Lingshuang responded with satisfaction, then murmured softly, “Then we still have many ‘firsts’ ahead…”
Her voice faded until the last words were nearly inaudible.
Lin Feng tensed and instinctively asked, “What?”
Receiving no reply, he gradually stopped his movements and looked down.
Chu Lingshuang’s eyes were closed, her brow furrowed in exhaustion, already sound asleep.
Lin Feng sighed helplessly, about to rise and move to the sofa, when he noticed her small hand gripping the corner of his shirt tightly.
As if sensing his movement, she frowned and mumbled half-asleep, “Don’t go… stay with me…”
Lin Feng struggled to tell if it was dream talk or reality.
This side of her was so different from the usual decisive and fierce woman he knew.
If not for all he had learned about her before, he might have pitied the poor girl. But now, after what she had done nearly to cost him his life, there was no room for sympathy.
He gently pried her fingers loose, but she seemed to sense it and gripped his palm even tighter.
With no other choice and afraid to wake her, Lin Feng lay down beside her.
Her legs then wrapped around him, as if in a bear hug.
Trapped once more, he sighed resignedly and cast a complex glance at the peacefully sleeping Chu Lingshuang.
Fine, he thought, for now, this will do.
Once this promise was fulfilled, he would carefully plan his escape.
Staring at the ceiling, pondering his future, Lin Feng eventually fell asleep.
The room was silent except for their even breaths.
He slept soundly, and when he woke, it was already eight in the morning.
He glanced at her face full of helplessness.
“Miss Chu, you’re finally awake.”
God only knew how startled he was when he woke to find her pressing against him; he had thought he was experiencing sleep paralysis.
Chu Lingshuang smiled faintly—this was the first time she had slept so soundly.
Facing the “dangerous” man beside her, she felt not fear but a deep sense of safety.
That was what Lin Feng brought her.
In a good mood, she propped her head up and said gently, “Let’s go record the show.”
It was rare for her to speak so tenderly, though one might overlook the faintly sick possessiveness in her eyes.
Lin Feng quickly nodded and stood. “Alright, Miss Chu, I’ll get to work then.”
With that, he left.
Just like yesterday, he had breakfast with Xiao Ran and then went to the seaside to play, acting as photographer to capture shots of her on the shore.
Xiao Ran no longer made any extreme moves; their interaction resembled more of brother and sister now.
She teased him, and he laughed.
However, Lin Feng’s usual coldness toward Xiao Ran during meals was starting to tire the audience. Surely there were limits to maintaining such an aloof attitude?
Every time Lin Feng appeared, he devoured his food ravenously, as if he hadn’t eaten in days.
But Lin Feng, unaware of everything, continued in his own way. The reason was simple.
The audience thought he was training hard off camera, but little did they know he spent every day lingering between the two Chu sisters.
During the day, he recorded shows; at night, he went to see Chu Lingshuang.
This left only mealtime as his own time. Over two days, though he ate a lot, he visibly lost weight.
He had underestimated Chu Lingshuang’s possessiveness. Except for mealtimes, he had to accompany her whenever the show was being filmed.
Now, it had even evolved to him having to stay in her room when using the bathroom.
It was suffocating.
“Tomorrow, Xupuo’er will arrive on the island.”
Emerging from the bathroom, Chu Lingshuang spoke slowly from the sofa, her scrutinizing gaze lingering on Lin Feng with a hint of testing.
Lin Feng smiled immediately. “Yes.”
It was time for him to act.
Noticing the sharpness gleaming in his eyes, Chu Lingshuang raised an eyebrow lazily. “Need my help?”
“No need.”
Without hesitation, Lin Feng declined and added, “Xiao Ran’s here.”
His implication was clear: he was using Xiao Ran as a shield, green tea against green tea, and the outcome would surely be fascinating.
What he didn’t realize was that such a simple sentence ignited a tidal wave of fury within Chu Lingshuang’s heart…
