Chapter 145: World Coordinates
In the void, a powerful true spirit vibrated. Within it, countless memory fragments danced, integrated into sporadic scenes by the transformative power of a divine spark, and silently flowed into Adis’s mind.
Instantly, a series of visions appeared. Among them were strange races with three heads and six arms, as well as glimpses of powerful beasts, all carrying the distinct aura of a different world.
"Are these the intelligent races that inhabited that world?" Adis muttered to himself in the void. Suddenly, the true spirit within him glowed faintly. Inside the suppressed body of the Demon God within his divine realm, a mysterious mark silently emerged.
Sensing this, Adis acted decisively. A branch of the Tree of Nature descended, channeling a swift and powerful surge of world energy to strip the mark away.
"Is this... a coordinate to another world?" Adis was surprised as he examined the mark. Gazing at it, he felt a hazy sensation, accompanied by mystery and a glimmer of light from that world.
This was a World Mark, containing the coordinates of a world—a treasure of immense value to certain beings. While the general framework of different worlds might be similar, their laws and environments often differed significantly, resulting in vastly different life forms and resources. Even a world lacking in resources was a great temptation; after all, as long as a world existed, it would possess world origin power. For Adis, even in his current state, this was extremely precious.
"Pity," Adis sighed with regret after absorbing the memory fragments. "According to the information, that world has likely been destroyed by that Demon God; its world origin was completely plundered to fuel the god's own growth. Even if I were to occupy it now, there would be nothing left to gain."
After a moment, he set that thought aside and turned his attention elsewhere. "And this divine spark..." A strange look crossed his face as he sensed the anomaly within it.
Since he had broken through to the sixth level and become a Child of the World, the divine spark that had accompanied his rebirth began to stir. It seemed that as the seals within it were fully shattered, the essence it contained began to awaken.
"Given the laws it holds and that rich power of fate... is it the spark of a God of Fate?" Adis pondered.
This divine spark, much like himself, was not a product of this universe but originated from another powerful cosmos where gods ran rampant. To his knowledge, a divine spark only formed in two ways: either a god stripped away part of their own power and authority to bestow upon a subordinate deity, or a god perished, their power and divinity condensing into a spark at the moment of death. The latter often contained the lingering will of the deity.
This reaction made Adis deeply suspicious. Yet, after careful reflection, he felt calm. "Whether the spark is merely reawakening or the fallen deity itself is reviving, at this point, how much of their former greatness could possibly remain? Besides, although I have relied on this spark in this life, my foundation has always been the domain of nature I comprehended myself—something external forces cannot shake."
Nevertheless, he remained vigilant. A true god, even in death, was once a supreme being; they might well have contingencies in place. He had a premonition that the truth behind this divine spark would soon be revealed to him.
...
On the earth, with the battle between Adis and the Demon God concluded, Adis shifted his focus back to the world.
Although the Demon God was suppressed, the surging demonic tide across the land showed no signs of stopping, as if it were an endless force pouring toward the defensive lines. This was the demonic nature that had leaked from the Demon God over countless years, once contained by the world but now erupted in a terrifying wave.
Adis watched with cold detachment. If he acted, he could quell the tide instantly, but there was no need. With the border defenses in place, the tide could not cause significant harm, and it served as a rare opportunity for his armies to be further tempered under pressure.
Thus, Adis returned to the Imperial Capital, governing the empire while continuing to send troops to fight at the borders. In this way, time passed, and twenty years slipped by.
...
On the plains, a massive demonic tiger roared, releasing power comparable to a third-level being, startling the surroundings. Standing before it was a stunningly beautiful young woman, holding a longbow and walking silently toward it.
The girl possessed a noble, divine majesty, carrying an aura of natural vitality that influenced the plants around her. Under her influence, even the vegetation that had withered from the beast's aura began to change, slowly regaining its life. Natural elements fluctuated around her, pressing down with divine weight.
Seeing her approach, the demonic tiger’s eyes flashed with fear and caution; it began to retreat, seemingly desperate to flee. However, the next moment, a streak of light flashed—the girl had gently drawn her bow, striking forward as if it were a casual gesture.
In an instant, the tiger’s movements ceased, as if frozen in time, before its body exploded and it perished.
"Sister Elila." A voice came from afar. In the jungle, a handsome man in a black robe approached, carrying a faint, unique natural divinity. His expression was calm, and a little girl walked beside him.
"Aladi, what is it?" Elila turned to smile at him. "Is there trouble over at Ebul’s side?"
"No," Aladi shook his head. "News has just arrived from outside; it seems the demonic tide in the Northern Territory has been quelled."
"The Northern Territory?" Elila murmured, a handsome youth coming to mind. "Is it Olalis?" she asked with a smile.
The young man nodded. "Ever since Father God sent Olalis to the Northern Territory, two years have passed."
"With his ability, it is only right that he should have pacified it by now." He spoke calmly, though he frowned inwardly as he recalled the scene of Olalis slaughtering on the battlefield, feeling an instinctive repulsion.
"At it again?" Seeing his expression, Elila smiled knowingly. "Don’t be so serious. Olalis is actually quite easy to get along with."
Aladi nodded in acknowledgment, though his expression remained unchanged, save for the divine markings on his forehead glowing faintly.
At that moment, a troop of knights arrived from the distance. Seeing Elila and Aladi, they rushed over, shouting, "Princess Elila, Prince Aladi," with wry smiles on their faces.
Seeing this, Elila and Aladi exchanged a glance and smiled. "Time to go back."
The group made their way back. As the demonic tide had been gradually pushed back, most of the land beyond the original defensive lines was now safe. Consequently, over a decade ago, following Adis's command, a large number of citizens were migrated here, transforming the region. Roads had been built, and several large cities now stood, bustling with merchants arriving to purchase the unique resources produced at the border, bringing prosperity to the area.
Along the roads, rows of trees and countless flowers, infused with the aura of divine arts, were meticulously cultivated by priests. Citizens worked diligently on the surrounding land, and near the cities, children and priests could be seen chanting in praise of the God of Nature.
The Adis Empire had been established for nearly sixty years. In that time, faith had woven itself into the fabric of daily life, and in such an atmosphere, almost everyone was a believer of the God of Nature. Sixty years was enough for two generations to be born; under Adis’s vigorous promotion and the power of divine arts, such results were not surprising.
Seeing Elila and Aladi return, a cheer erupted from the distance in welcome. Elila smiled, a sense of joy welling up in her heart.
...
As the life within the world multiplied, the world’s power grew stronger, feeding more origin energy back to the Child of the World.
In a vast divine realm, a gigantic ancient tree stood, continuously absorbing the incoming origin energy. A fruit slowly ripened, nearing the moment of birth.
"It is almost ready," Adis said with a smile as he looked at the dozen or so fruits left on his main body.
Originally, the world’s power had been bestowed upon Adis, hoping that through his essence as the God of Nature, he could manifest powerful life to drive away the demonic calamity. In reality, due to the world's weakness, its remaining power was so meager that it could only barely sustain the maturation of the first fruit.
Therefore, after unifying the world, Adis focused on governance. As the world's life flourished, the world’s origin grew stronger, and the energy fed back was poured entirely into his main body. Only through these years of cultivation had he finally allowed these fruits to ripen slowly, preventing them from withering away.
