The scenery shifted unpredictably. All around, as a will akin to the consciousness of the world yet radiating a distinctly alien aura enveloped the land, sinister changes began to manifest. Upon the plains, the vegetation was tainted by a pitch-black miasma, wilting and dying; those fortunate enough to survive underwent strange mutations, turning into monstrous creatures. The surrounding life forms, too, transformed under the overwhelming influence of this essence, growing tiny scales across their bodies, their faces twisted into hideous visages.

Even the earth itself became somber and dark, the once barren land thoroughly polluted. Threads of demonic energy rose from the soil, forcibly severing this place from the original world and turning it into an isolated abyssal region.

This was the powerful infection and radiation of the Demon God.

The Demon God’s essence was too formidable; as long as it remained, it ceaselessly infected its surroundings, gradually converting everything whose fundamental nature was weaker than its own.

Of course, this world inherently rejected it, and such actions consumed a great deal of power.

In Chen Ming’s eyes, ahead, in the ethereal void, two mighty forces were clashing furiously, expending themselves in the struggle.

One force bore a mark upon it, displaying endless scenes of life’s proliferation, warfare, and death, centered around an immortal essence, coalescing into a will that continuously emanated the power of the world.

The other force was pure in extremity, also carrying a hint of immortality, but wrapped in dense destructive energy, boiling in this place, resisting the other.

If one were to compare the two, the consciousness of the world, supported by all its creatures, was undoubtedly the strongest. Yet, world consciousness was born of the collective thoughts of all living things, the true master of the world, possessed of instinct but fundamentally chaotic, incapable of fully controlling its vast power. Thus, when it collided with the remnant soul of the Demon God, it merely gained a slight advantage, the two locked in a stalemate.

As these two overwhelming presences remained deadlocked, their powers surged and exploded, nearly shattering the void. The leaking energy spread outward, cracking the earth and suffusing the air with mysterious auras.

Sensing these auras, Chen Ming’s eyes brightened. A faint glow rose atop his true spirit, striving to comprehend them.

To him, this was a rare opportunity. Both the world consciousness and the Demon God’s remnant soul, in terms of power, had definitely reached the sixth level, perhaps even surpassed it.

Now, with both sides colliding at full strength, their essences were laid bare, evolving openly in this place—a demonstration akin to two sixth-level beings performing before him.

A divine core rotated quietly, following its path, imprinting these marks and absorbing them, transforming them into his own foundation and gradually settling within.

But across the way, with a low growl, upon the earth now turned abyssal, a terrifying three-headed demon wolf appeared, raising its head in a furious howl as a domain of destruction swept down, saturated with dreadful demonic energy.

“Hmph!” Chen Ming snorted coldly. On him, a glimmer of divine light appeared, radiating the essence of natural cycles, surging forward.

Thus, on the earth, two essences collided once more, altering the land yet again.

The force of nature spilled outward, purifying the demon-infested earth, slaying and cleansing the monsters. In the next instant, the essence of destruction swept in, stripping the land of vitality and restoring it to its previous state.

Around them, after repeated collisions, the beings that had been warped by demonic influence seemed to perish completely, leaving behind only barren earth, silently enduring the turmoil above.

“Indeed, after its original power was unified by a mighty essence, it not only didn’t fall below the fifth level but remained stable,” Chen Ming thought, sensing the immense power and pressure emanating from the other side.

“Go, die!” Across from him, the three-headed demon wolf, ghastly and terrifying, spoke slowly, its voice ancient and bleak, laced with naked killing intent.

But seeing this, Chen Ming merely sneered.

He regarded the growing confusion and brutality in the other’s eyes and said, “You have lost the world’s favor and had your true spirit corrupted by another will. Now, rather than a progenitor god, you are little more than a puppet under someone else’s control.”

“Roar!”

As if enraged, the demon wolf threw back its heads and howled, its cry wild and savage. Divine power stirred, and in the next moment, it charged straight at Chen Ming.

During this, within the surrounding abyss, a force attuned to it quietly surfaced, gradually empowering it and elevating its momentum.

Riding this surge, the demon wolf lunged forward, its strength so formidable that it shattered the divine domain, directly breaching the protective divine light around Chen Ming.

Yet, at the last moment, Chen Ming’s true spirit stirred violently, a subtle wave of arcane power radiating outward, halting the wolf’s advance.

“Not bad. With the vast abyssal support around us, I am no longer its match. And you, expending your strength to block the world consciousness, have cut yourself off from the world’s support. Under normal circumstances, I would simply turn and flee, keeping my distance.”

Amid the danger, Chen Ming’s expression remained calm. He gazed at the faintly materializing image of a three-headed, six-armed demon god in the void, his tone cold as steel: “But now…”

In the next instant, the scene abruptly shifted. The demon wolf froze for a moment, then its domain shuddered as it broke through the true spirit’s restraints, preparing to leap forward.

But Chen Ming ignored it.

He quietly raised his head. Within him, a long-dormant divine core of nature began to turn, its faint light slowly flickering, resonating with a shining star above, gradually drawing in the world consciousness.

This was the divine core’s instinctive pull. To possess a divine rank was to be a candidate for the world’s chosen, qualified to draw upon the world’s power.

Moreover, the nature divine core was inherently close to the world, a manifestation of the world’s laws in motion. Thus, as the two resonated, the world consciousness in the void was immediately drawn in.

An arcane sensation swept over his mind, and immeasurable power of the world enveloped Chen Ming.

In that moment, under the threat of the Demon God’s will, the world consciousness, guided by divinity and divine rank, bestowed all its support upon Chen Ming.

He felt a mighty force rising within, innumerable source energies winding around him. At the same time, in his true spirit, countless insights into laws surfaced, slowly appearing in his mind.

He had no time to ponder them deeply, only moved his heart, wielding the power of the world.

Instantly, a stream of violet energy soared, carrying boundless world power. Under the nature divine office, it transformed into a potent divine art, striking the enemy and driving back the Demon God’s will.

Then, another faint radiance emerged. In the hush that followed, Chen Ming raised his head and once again faced the Demon God.

In the void, a terrifying demon god with three heads, six arms, and scaled body appeared, as if it had stood for eternity, exuding immortal brilliance.

Yet in the next moment, a ray of light flashed, and the demon god was struck by an overwhelmingly powerful force, its shadow completely dissipated.

At once, the aura that had suffused the surroundings faded, thoroughly dispersed by Chen Ming wielding the power of the world.
