"Su Jing, are you dating Jiang Xiaorui?"
Su Jing was bent over his book. He was a good student, had a pleasant personality, and as the class president, naturally got along well with everyone.
Jiang Xiaorui was beautiful, but her arrogance was notorious. Rumor had it she once pursued Lu Yu from the neighboring class, and after being rejected, caused such a commotion that she even threatened to end her life. No one knew how, but eventually she set her sights on Su Jing.
The boy sitting in front of Su Jing secretly hoped he wouldn’t end up with Jiang Xiaorui.
"No," Su Jing replied without looking up, his pen tracing lines and marks on the pages.
"Good," the boy smiled, then added, "Then you won’t be upset. Remember that girl who used to bother you? Jiang Xiaorui took some people to confront her after class today. That girl isn’t easy to deal with, so it’s likely Jiang Xiaorui will be called to the office soon. As long as you’re not worried."
The pen in Su Jing’s hand suddenly froze.
He lifted his head, dark ink blooming across the paper.
The boy in front glanced at Su Jing, confused. "You said you weren’t upset, right?"
He had specifically asked Su Jing about Jiang Xiaorui, and Su Jing had answered with such indifference. Why now...
Was he so anxious?
"Where?"
"What do you mean, where? Oh, they went to Class Two, Grade Eleven."
Su Jing stood up and hurried toward the door.
Just as he reached it, he turned sharply, his gaze cold and his voice resolute.
"It’s not harassment."
It never was—it was always his own willingness.
"Hey! Su Jing!" The boy stared after him, bewildered.

It dawned on him... Not harassment...
Was it possible Su Jing liked that girl?
Her name was He Rose, wasn’t it?
Her reputation was even worse than Jiang Xiaorui’s!
.
A Si looked intently at He Rose, her soft little hand gripping hers tightly.
Warmth.
A Si’s hand was very warm.
She had actually been stunned by A Si’s presence just now, leaving her mind a bit foggy.
What had A Si asked?
Should they fight back?
Before He Rose could reply, the bathroom door was kicked open violently.
Fortunately, A Si and He Rose were standing away from the entrance, but the girls blocking the door were knocked to the ground by the force.
Some were so frightened they burst into tears.
"Damn! Who is it?" one girl cursed from the floor.
Looking up, she saw a boy’s face shadowed with anger.
His dark hair fell over his forehead.
He was out of breath, having rushed over.
"A Si..."

Lu Yu immediately spotted A Si in the crowd.
He strode over, the gloom in his eyes barely concealed.
"Did they hit you?"
The tall, handsome boy filled the restroom with his presence, his anger impossible to hide.
Jiang Xiaorui’s eyes flashed brightly for an instant when she saw Lu Yu enter, but when he didn’t even glance her way, a trace of malice flickered across her gaze.
A Si whispered, "It’s nothing."
She blinked, a gentle light shining in her eyes.
A faint smile lingered on her lips.
Lu Yu hesitated, remembering how more than once, A Si had helped him out of trouble.
The little girl seemed quite capable.
His heart eased, and almost without thinking, he reached out to ruffle her hair, his tone soft. "That’s good."
A Si didn’t dodge; instead, she squinted comfortably.
She used to ruffle Xiao Bai’s hair often—at first he resisted, but eventually he would nuzzle into her palm.
So this really was pleasant, after all.
