Chapter 30: Distant Light

Facing the Lotus Lantern wielded by the Primordial Mother Goddess Nüwa, the jet-black dragon charged forward head-on.

The dragon’s five-colored breath clashed with the divine light of the Lotus Lantern. Because the Huaxia Realm had been reinforced by the Heavenly Emperor Di Jun using the Heavenly Emperor Stele, the resulting destruction was severely suppressed.

The dragon’s breath—black, yellow, cyan, crimson, and white—suddenly converged, increasing in intensity as it sought to overwhelm the divine light of the lantern.

Nüwa fully unleashed the divine power of the Lotus Lantern, meeting the dragon’s breath in a struggle that triggered a series of explosions.

Seemingly dissatisfied that the world remained reinforced, the jet-black dragon radiated a brilliant aurora from within its body. Suddenly, the universe trembled! The dragon was attempting to trigger a universal reset!

Sensing the dragon’s intent to press the "reset" button, Heavenly Emperor Di Jun immediately poured his entire divine power into the Heavenly Emperor Stele, using it to fight with all his might to prevent the restart of the universe.

The targeted dragon merely unleashed a wave of light capable of utterly erasing everything within a hundred-kilometer radius.

"Primordial Mother Goddess Nüwa! Quickly take this beast out of the universe!"

"If this beast uses that move again, even I will not be able to hold on!"

Di Jun communicated via divine telepathy.

Nüwa replied that she would, then stowed the Lotus Lantern and produced her supreme treasure, the Primordial Mist Mirror. This was a relic she had chanced upon during the chaos of the Origin Ancestral Star’s creation. The mirror was enveloped in a special purple haze—the Primordial Violet Mist—which Nüwa had discovered and learned to use in tandem with the mirror. Holding the mirror, Nüwa braced against the massive dragon, pushing it out of the Origin Ancestral Star.

To ensure the dragon found no opportunity to reset the universe, Nüwa kept pushing it with the mirror, while the dragon’s breath was blocked and reflected by the artifact.

Like comets traversing space and time, the two left scattered traces across the cosmos. Amidst a continuous flicker of lightning, Nüwa drove the dragon away from the Milky Way, heading straight beyond the bounds of the universe.

Seeing Nüwa lead the Beast of Termination away from the Origin Ancestral Star, Mu Changge looked at Athena and asked, "Teacher Athena, has the apocalyptic flood stopped?"

"It is beginning to subside. Saint Nüwa is currently receding the waters to save the human race."

"Then let us go and help."

"Oh? Not bad. You are showing more and more potential as a hero."

"Teacher Athena, you’ve got that wrong. I just want to farm some merits."

Athena immediately flew up and delivered a karate chop to Mu Changge’s head. "You’re doing that on purpose, aren't you? Take this seriously!"

Mu Changge covered his head and replied, "I really don't want to be a hero..."

Nüwa and the jet-black dragon rushed out of the universe and into the Chaos Sea beyond.

The Chaos Sea, also known as the Endless Primordial Chaos Quantity Ocean, is a place where countless universes are gestated. No matter how powerful, how vast, or how fast one is, one cannot find its end, its center, or its source. It is worth mentioning that the giants of the Orion NGC 2068 Nebula in a certain universe call the Chaos Sea "hyperspace."

At the same time, the Primordial Chaos Core, Azathoth, and the Chaos Court reside somewhere within this sea.

In the Chaos Sea, some universes drift alone, while others are linked in chains. These chains center around a primary universe, with the surrounding ones serving as parallel universes.

Nüwa used her divine power to alter the form of the Primordial Mist Mirror. The mirror surface shattered completely, and the circular frame, etched with ancient divine runes, shrank into a ring-shaped hilt. The mirror fragments fused with the Primordial Violet Mist to transform into a blade of light. This was the offensive form of the defensive treasure: the Primordial Mist Sword!

As the sword emerged, a surge of purple light flooded the area. The blade of light hummed, seemingly responding to the presence of the violet glow.

Nüwa wielded the sword and slashed at the dragon, its five massive heads breathing fire that was cleaved apart by the blade. Nüwa darted before the dragon, landing hundreds of strikes in the blink of an eye, before delivering a final diagonal slash to create distance.

Struck by Nüwa’s attack, the dragon's body began to dissipate. But a closer look revealed that the form of the jet-black dragon was composed entirely of laws!

As the black body vanished completely, the true form of the Beast of Termination appeared!

It was a silver dragon over two hundred meters long. An invisible silver vortex acted as a protective barrier around it. Its body shimmered in and out of existence, and its scales radiated a special light—an aurora, magnificent and grand. The aurora, combined with the silver dragon, looked like a gorgeous painting; endless colors danced as the mysterious and beautiful light unfurled like a celestial curtain!

"A Silver Dragon from beyond the heavens?" Nüwa murmured, gazing at the sight.

"Goddess, who are you? State your name!" The dragon's aura swept outward with a trembling might, as if it were a supreme deity!

"I am the Primordial Mother Goddess of the Huaxia Realm, Nüwa! You wicked beast, state your name!"

"Audacious!"

"ROAR!!!"

The silver dragon grew furious. Its roar released a rolling wave of divine sound, threatening to destroy everything in its path. The roar also carried the effect of eroding the mind and soul, as if to prove that the silver dragon’s majesty could not be offended.

Nüwa immediately channeled the Primordial Mist Sword, employing a sword technique to neutralize the incoming roar.

Seeing Nüwa easily dissipate the sound, the silver dragon spat out a blast of dragon breath, its power capable of destroying space-time as it surged toward her.

Nüwa instantly released a vast amount of divine power, combining it with the Primordial Mist Sword to execute a strike capable of opening a new universe! Endless purple mist surged from the sword, forming a massive beam of light with her divine power, aimed directly at the dragon’s breath.

The collision between Nüwa and the silver dragon caused violent tremors in the surroundings; as a result, some universes in the Chaos Sea were displaced!

Seeing Nüwa nullify its breath, the silver dragon finally took its opponent seriously.

"You are quite good. You are qualified to know my true name."

"My name is Yaoguang! The unattainable aurora!"

A super-massive silver vortex manifested above Nüwa and Yaoguang, as if offering flowers to the name of the silver dragon.

The Unattainable Aurora.

A unique existence representing the limit of a universe, originating from another reality. Its essence is the "reset button" for when another universe returns to chaos.

It arrived in this universe through a crack in the heavens. It possesses combat power at the strongest level of the universe, with the terrifying capability to destroy a universe in an instant.

Note: If one were to compare Goetia to a storm, Yaoguang would be Tiamat.

Its outer form is a winged black dragon with five heads, each capable of radiating a different color of extinction breath. Its roar alone can trigger apocalyptic floods across the realms of the Origin Ancestral Star and cause void rifts to rain down fire that burns everything to ash.

The black dragon is a shell composed of the power of laws; its true form is a silver dragon wrapped in an aurora. A space-time vortex surrounds the silver dragon’s body, allowing it to perform continuous space-time travel. Its scales contain immense space-time power to protect its physical form. Combined with the ability to manipulate and destroy space-time at will, it is a desperate existence that is perfectly balanced in offense and defense!

The black dragon is over five hundred meters long; the silver dragon is over two hundred meters long.
