Chapter Nine: The Results of the Examination
Sun Yan wondered if she should have checked her horoscope before leaving the house today. It started with the Chief falling ill, followed by a false alarm, and then—of all things—she ended up being groped by a man who had passed out. She had nowhere to vent her fury, as the man was unconscious, after all. Still, she decided to visit the lecherous patient, thinking that a couple of pinches while he was still out cold might help her blow off some steam. To her shock, as soon as she entered the room, she caught the brat looking lewdly at his own hands, muttering something about how "soft" it felt.
Burning with rage, Sun Yan didn’t care that he had just woken up. She decided to teach the pervert a lesson and threw a punch, but to her surprise, he was quite agile and leaped right off the hospital bed. After struggling to pin him down for a shoulder throw, he managed to lock her in a hold instead. Worst of all, his right hand ended up back on her chest.
She demanded he let go, but he refused. Left with no other choice, she stomped hard on his feet, but her heel snapped, causing both of them to tumble toward the bedside. This scene was witnessed in full by the Chief, who had just walked in.
What followed was even more mortifying for Sun Yan. The scoundrel not only refused to let her go, but even had the audacity to remark on how soft she was, insisting he hadn't done it on purpose.
"Let go!" Sun Yan hissed.
Hearing her tone, Yang Qi didn't dare hesitate; he quickly released her and stepped back.
"Dr. Sun, I really didn't mean to," Yang Qi explained hurriedly, though even he felt the excuse sounded flimsy. The first time was one thing, but this was their second intimate encounter.
A flush of shame and anger still lingered on Sun Yan’s face. "I told you to let go, and you still say it wasn't on purpose?"
"I..." Yang Qi was at a loss for words. He had just woken up and been attacked by Dr. Sun; he hadn't been thinking about anything other than trying not to be thrown to the ground.
"Pervert, speechless now, aren't you?" Sun Yan sneered.
Yang Qi smiled bitterly to himself. Regardless of the circumstances, he had taken advantage of her twice, so he was clearly in the wrong. He had no defense.
"Dr. Sun, it really was just a misunderstanding. If you have any anger or frustration, take it out on me. I won’t even blink," Yang Qi said quickly. He was a man, after all; if he was wrong, he had to own up to it.
"You said it yourself," Sun Yan replied coolly.
Yang Qi nodded. It was just a groping incident; he didn't believe Sun Yan would actually kill him. At most, she would hit him a few times to let off steam.
"Which foot dodged me just now?" Sun Yan suddenly asked.
Yang Qi’s mouth twitched as he realized her intent, but he helplessly extended his right foot.
"Not bad, you've got some sense," Sun Yan smiled slightly, and in the next moment, she stomped down hard on his foot.
"Hiss—" A sharp pain surged through him. Fortunately, Yang Qi’s body was far stronger than an ordinary person’s, or he would have been screaming in agony.
But it wasn't over yet; Sun Yan twisted her heel.
"Damn, she's ruthless," Yang Qi thought, feeling a lingering fear. Women were certainly not to be trifled with.
Yang Qi rubbed his aching right foot and looked at Sun Yan. "Dr. Sun, are you satisfied now?"
"Just about," Sun Yan nodded. "I’ve vented about one ten-thousandth of my anger. The remaining nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine, you can pay back slowly."
What?
Yang Qi’s eyes widened in shock as he stared at her.
"You're the one who said it," Sun Yan chuckled, ignoring his stunned expression as she walked quickly out of the room.
Yang Qi’s mouth twitched violently as he limped out after her.
When he reached the living room, Elder Qin was eating dinner alone. Seeing Yang Qi limping, he gave a knowing smile and said, "Brother Yang, you just woke up. You should really practice some moderation in these matters."
Yang Qi rolled his eyes and gave a bitter smile. "Brother Qin, it's not at all what you’re thinking."
"I understand, I understand," Elder Qin chuckled.
Seeing this, Yang Qi didn't bother explaining; he knew even if he did, Elder Qin wouldn't believe him.
"Brother Yang, why are you alone? Where is my sister-in-law?" Elder Qin asked suddenly.
"Cough, cough!" Yang Qi nearly spat out the food he had just taken into his mouth. She was a generation younger and his doctor, yet in the blink of an eye, she was being called his sister-in-law.
"Brother Qin, it really isn't what you think," Yang Qi said with a bitter smile.
"Brother Yang, you didn't force yourself on her, did you? That won't do!" Elder Qin’s expression shifted, his face turning stern.
"Do you really think I’m in any shape to force myself on anyone right now?" Yang Qi rolled his eyes.
That was true.
Elder Qin nodded. Yang Qi had passed out from exhaustion saving him, and he had only just woken up. Even with his *qi*, he couldn't have recovered in such a short time. He was barely stronger than an average person, so the idea of him using force was highly unlikely.
"Could it be that the
