After a brief moment of thought, Yang Qi finally spoke, “At the earliest, three to five months; at the latest, one or two years.”

To heal Old Qin’s old injuries, Yang Qi would need to reach the rank of Martial Master first. Currently, he was only a five-star Martial Practitioner, still some way from Martial Master. By his estimation, it would take two or three months at least to break through.

“Three to five months, or one or two years?” Old Qin was momentarily stunned, then laughed. “I thought it would take ten years or so. One or two years? Brother, that’s something I can wait for.”

Ten years!

Yang Qi was taken aback, then realized Old Qin had been troubled by these injuries for decades; waiting one or two more years was nothing to him. It was Yang Qi himself who felt that one or two years to reach Martial Master was somewhat slow.

“Brother Qin, where exactly is this place?” Yang Qi glanced out the window. The sky was already dimming, and he had no idea where he was.

“This is Qingzhou University. I assume, Brother Yang, that you’re a student here?” Old Qin smiled.

Yang Qi nodded.

“Now that I think about it, we are schoolmates. I graduated from Qingzhou University years ago,” Old Qin said with a hint of nostalgia. “After retiring, I returned to Qingchuan Province. The university arranged a villa for me here, and I come to check on it every year.”

That explained it.

Yang Qi nodded inwardly. He had already suspected Old Qin’s identity—not with full certainty, but close enough. If Old Qin was truly stationed here permanently, the security would definitely not be as lax as it was now.

“Doctor Sun, the commander ordered that no one is to disturb,” a familiar voice came from the doorway.

Yang Qi recognized the voice immediately—it was Xiao Luo, the one who had made a move on him earlier.

“The commander’s orders don’t count now. Both the commander and that kid are patients here, so they’re under my care,” came a cold voice in reply.

“Brother Yang... uh... you and Doctor Sun can talk,” Old Qin said, his expression shifting slightly. He glanced at Yang Qi and then turned to leave.

What talk? Yang Qi smiled wryly, utterly puzzled. He wasn’t sick, nor did he need a doctor.

“Brother Yang, don’t tell me you’ve forgotten?” Old Qin looked at Yang Qi in surprise.

Hearing the increasing commotion outside, Old Qin knew it wasn’t wise to stay. He left with a parting sentence, “Think about what you did before you lost consciousness.”

Before losing consciousness?

Yang Qi was stunned, recalling faintly the moment he passed out. He remembered Doctor Sun approaching to ask if he needed to rest; he waved his hands, saying no. Then everything went black. When he fell, he felt as if he landed on a sponge.

“No way...” Yang Qi’s lips twitched. He finally realized that what he had been pressing against was not a sponge but Doctor Sun herself.

Thinking of where he had fallen, Yang Qi bitterly smiled and looked at his own hands, murmuring, “I have to admit, she’s pretty soft.”

“Is that so?”

Yang Qi nodded, just about to speak when he suddenly sensed something wrong. Looking up, he saw a beautiful doctor in a white coat staring icily at him.

“Oh no!” Seeing Doctor Sun on the verge of losing control, Yang Qi panicked. The next moment, he saw her fist slam into the hospital bed.

Without hesitation, Yang Qi flipped and leapt up, landing directly behind her.

“Bang!”

A dull thud came from the bed.

“Doctor Sun, please let me explain...” Yang Qi hurriedly said.

“Explain...” Doctor Sun looked at him in surprise, refraining from hitting again. Instead, she stepped in front of him.

Relieved, Yang Qi breathed out. As long as she was willing to listen, it was just a misunderstanding. After all, he had been unconscious and knew nothing.

Before he could speak, a cold voice whispered in his ear, “Wait until you dreamtold me.”

Before Yang Qi could comprehend, he felt himself suddenly pitching forward.

“Over-the-shoulder throw!” Realizing the danger, Yang Qi quickly shifted his center of gravity and steadied himself.

Doctor Sun clearly wasn’t giving up. She exerted more force. Yang Qi had just awakened; his energy was depleted, and his strength was less than a tenth of his peak. He found himself struggling.

Knowing he would lose if this continued, Yang Qi used his left arm to press against Doctor Sun’s lower back, preventing her from exerting strength. His right hand swiftly grabbed and locked her arms to his chest.

Still, Doctor Sun struggled fiercely. Yang Qi dared not relax, holding her tightly.

“Pervert, let go!” Doctor Sun’s voice trembled with indignation.

“I’ll let go once you listen to me,” Yang Qi replied cautiously. He had little strength to defend himself; if she went berserk, he’d be the one in trouble.

“Will you let go or not?” she asked angrily.

“No.”

“Thud!”

“Ouch!” A sharp pain shot through Yang Qi’s foot, causing him to grit his teeth.

“That move again,” he thought bitterly, having suffered from it just a few days ago, and now again today.

“Will you let go?” Doctor Sun demanded once more.

“Again?” Yang Qi wasn’t foolish enough to fall for it twice. He hurriedly lifted his right foot.

“Snap!” A cracking sound rang out. Suddenly, Doctor Sun stumbled forward and fell, dragging Yang Qi down with her.

“Smack!”

Fortunately, there was a hospital bed in front of them; otherwise, the fall might have caused internal injuries.

“Brother Yang, dinner’s ready. Do you want it brought in or...” Old Qin’s voice came from the doorway.

Yang Qi turned to see Old Qin staring dumbfounded in their direction.

“Uh... Brother Yang, you two carry on...” Old Qin’s face flushed, and he quickly withdrew.

Carry on?

Yang Qi looked at Old Qin’s sudden exit, bewildered. But when he glanced down at Doctor Sun beneath him, he understood immediately.

He was pinning Doctor Sun under him; they were half-lying on the bed’s edge. The most awkward part was that his left hand, pressing against her lower back, looked from behind as if it was reaching into somewhere—it was an unmistakably suggestive posture.

“This is going to cause a huge misunderstanding,” Yang Qi thought with a bitter smile. Now he finally understood why Old Qin had blushed and left in such a hurry.

“What is this? So soft?” Yang Qi suddenly felt something swollen and soft under his right arm.

“Bastard!”

At the same time, Doctor Sun let out a shout filled with both embarrassment and anger.

Yang Qi was no novice; hearing her words, he knew exactly what he was touching.

“I really didn’t mean it!” Yang Qi opened his mouth, though even he felt his words lacked any sincerity.
