Chapter 54: Encountering Captain Jack, You Haven't Kissed Me Yet!
Chapter 54: An Accidental Encounter with Captain Jack, You Haven't Kissed Me Yet!
Loria exclaimed happily, "Oh! Why is he here?"
She nudged Qin Feng with her elbow.
"Director, take a look. Do you know this star?"
Qin Feng was drinking when he heard Loria's words, and he raised his head.
At a glance, he spotted the long-haired man and felt a secret jolt of surprise!
I know him! Of course I know him!
It's just that he doesn't know me yet!
That person was none other than Johnny Depp, the male lead of *Pirates of the Caribbean* in his past life, the wildly famous Captain Jack.
In this world, because *Pirates of the Caribbean* had not yet begun filming, although Johnny Depp had won a few awards and was quite well-known, he had not yet achieved superstar status.
Before Qin Feng could speak, Keanu Reeves walked up to greet him, and Loria followed closely behind.
Keanu Reeves and Johnny Depp were a year apart in age and had known each other for a long time.
"Ha, Keanu, how have you been lately?" Depp walked up, and the two shared a hug.
"Not bad, Depp. Long time no see. Our film crew is having a dinner here today, what brings you here?"
"A crew dinner? How lively. I'm going to see a friend later."
Depp noticed Loria standing behind them. "Loria, how are you? How is Director Tim Burton lately?"
Loria smiled and said, "I'm doing well, Mr. Depp. I've been on the set every day lately, so I haven't seen Director Burton. But I imagine he must be doing great recently."
"That's good," Depp said. "Say hello to him for me; I've missed him a bit."
"Mm-hmm, will do."
Keanu Reeves chimed in, "Depp, what a coincidence. Why don't you join us for a drink?"
Depp stroked his goatee. "You guys go ahead and enjoy your gathering, I really do have an appointment."
Just then, Qin Feng walked over.
He thought to himself: If I'm going to direct *Pirates of the Caribbean*, I'll be working with Depp sooner or later. Why not get acquainted early?
"Pardon the interruption, the three of you..."
Before he could finish, Loria smiled and said, "Mr. Depp, let me introduce you. This is the director of our film *The Matrix*, Qin Feng."
"Oh?" Johnny Depp looked at Qin Feng, who was walking over.
A handsome, sunny-looking guy.
An Asian director? Qin Feng?
*Hiss~~* Why does that sound so familiar?
He paused in puzzlement.
Qin Feng smiled and extended a hand. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Depp. I'm a big fan of your work."
Depp also reached out his hand. "Thank you! Director Qin..."
Qin Feng... seemed to be...
"Ah!" he exclaimed.
"What is it?" Qin Feng was slightly startled.
Depp smiled. "Director Qin, I remember now. A month ago, I was on the phone with Director Burton, and he mentioned you to me. He said you were a rising star among young directors and even talked about introducing us."
"Ha... I didn't expect us to actually meet today."
Qin Feng also had a sudden flash of realization. "Oh, so it's because of Director Tim Burton! He has helped me out before, and I'm still very grateful to him."
He knew that Director Tim Burton and Depp had a very close personal relationship and had already collaborated on multiple films:
*Edward Scissorhands*, *Ed Wood*, *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory*, *Corpse Bride* (voice acting), *Sweeney Todd*, and so on.
Depp had practically become Tim Burton's go-to actor, and Burton told him everything without holding back.
Because of this connection, Depp was acquainted with several people from Warner Brothers, including the casting associate director, Loria.
Qin Feng said, "Mr. Depp, meeting like this is fate. Come and have a drink with us."
Depp rubbed his hands together. "Hiss~ Alright, I'll have just one drink, mainly because I still have an appointment later."
Qin Feng invited Depp to his table and briefly introduced him to everyone.
Keanu Reeves pulled over a chair.
Someone else brought over two more chairs and a few bottles of beer. Of course, Depp's bodyguard didn't accept any, simply standing quietly off to the side.
Depp was an easy-going and unconstrained person. Sitting between Qin Feng and Keanu, he chatted and laughed with everyone.
After chatting for a few minutes, Depp said to Qin Feng, "Director Qin, I can tell your crew is quite lively. That's fantastic!"
Qin Feng smiled. "It's break time, so being lively is nice too, isn't it?"
"By the way, Mr. Depp, if there's an opportunity in the future, we must collaborate on something."
Qin Feng raised his glass.
Depp also raised his glass. "Director Qin, I look forward to it! I've never acted in a sci-fi action film before!"
Qin Feng smiled inwardly—*Pirates of the Caribbean* was certainly not a sci-fi action film.
The two men clinked their glasses.
After drinking for another two minutes, Depp checked his watch, stood up, and crossed his hands. "Excuse me, everyone. I really am going to be late. I wish you all a pleasant meal!"
Qin Feng and the others also stood up to see him off.
"Please stay, my friends. Bye-bye~~"
"Bye-bye~~"
Johnny Depp and his bodyguard departed.
"Loria, I had no idea you knew such a big star," Qin Feng said with a smile.
"Director, what kind of thing is that to say? I deal with actors every day; of course I know quite a few people," Loria retorted with a pout.
"Ha, impressive, impressive."
Everyone sat back down and the gathering continued for a long time, lasting all the way until midnight.
...
The high-intensity shooting continued for two weeks.
According to the schedule, the crew would head to Australia in three days to shoot on location.
Over on Scarlett's side, her work had finally concluded.
She would be returning to Los Angeles tomorrow afternoon.
Qin Feng was overjoyed—he would finally get to see Scarlett!
What should he buy for her?
After thinking about it for a long time without any ideas, buying flowers was still the safest bet!
That afternoon, Qin Feng arranged all the crew's work and drove to the airport.
Today, he was dressed in a white casual suit and black leather shoes, wearing a pair of amber-tinted sunglasses.
Rolling down the car window just a crack, his long hair fluttered in the breeze as he hummed a little tune all the way, looking handsome and dashing.
Half an hour later, he arrived at the airport.
Holding a bouquet of flowers, he walked over to the arrivals gate.
Ten minutes later, Scarlett emerged with the other passengers, pulling her luggage.
"Over here!" Qin Feng shook the bouquet, not daring to shout her name too loudly for fear of attracting a crowd.
Dragging a large suitcase, Scarlett heard the voice, pushed her sunglasses down slightly, and spotted Qin Feng.
She ran over happily all the way.
"Qin Feng——!"
Qin Feng ran toward her as well.
When Scarlett reached him, she abandoned her suitcase entirely and leaped straight into his arms.
Qin Feng caught her in a firm embrace.
"Oof!"
"I don't care! Qin, *mwah*!"
Scarlett planted a sexy kiss right on Qin Feng's cheek.
The two of them, a handsome man and a beautiful woman both wearing sunglasses while hugging, immediately drew the attention of everyone around them.
Qin Feng gave a light cough, gently set her down, and kissed her on the forehead.
"My dear Miss Scarlett, these flowers are for you. Please accept them."
Scarlett took them—they were all red roses—and took a sniff. "Oh, they smell so good! Thank you for your express delivery service."
Qin Feng pulled her suitcase over. "Lead the way, Miss Scarlett."
The two walked all the way to the parking lot and got into the car.
"Do you want to go home or go out to have some fun?" Qin Feng asked with a smile.
Scarlett blinked her large eyes, and after a few seconds, said, "Qin Feng, it's been so long, and you haven't kissed me yet!"
"Huh? I just kissed you."
"The forehead doesn't count!"
"Oh, alright."
Qin Feng leaned over, took off his glasses, stroked her blonde hair, and kissed her deeply.
Scarlett exuded an alluring fragrance.
Qin Feng was almost intoxicated.
With great difficulty, they finally pulled apart.
"We can't kiss anymore, or I really might end up driving under the influence later."
