Dango controlled the train, his eyes fixed on the carriage ahead as a low growl escaped him. Bear Big and Bear Second quickly understood the meaning behind it and hurriedly jumped to the next carriage, opening the door and searching inside. Finally, in a corner, they found Su He, tied up and unconscious, and then brought her out.
“Oh no, Su He has been unconscious this whole time and won’t wake up. What should we do?” Bear Second anxiously asked Bear Big.
Before Bear Big could answer, Dango on the train channeled a faint stream of spiritual energy from his horns into Su He’s body. Gradually, her eyes fluttered open, and she regained consciousness.
“What... what happened to me? I feel so weak,” she whispered.
“Su He, you’re finally awake! You had us all worried sick,” Bear Second said, hastily helping her sit up.
“Bear Big, Bear Second, Bald Strong, you came to save me. That’s such a relief,” Su He said, nearly believing she was about to be sold to those southern merchants and dissected by scientists for experiments.
Meanwhile, in the town, the people began clearing the chaotic scene. Using forklifts, they cleaned the scattered wood from the ground. Big Horse Monkey and Er Gou supported the southern merchant as they noticed a crowd gathered around Old Zhao.
“I say, Old Zhao, what you told us sounds pretty unbelievable,” one of them said.
Old Zhao, drinking from a bottle of milk, replied calmly, “When have I ever lied? This place will soon be engulfed in flames.”
“So what do we do then, Old Zhao?” someone asked.
“The legend says a hero will arrive riding a rainbow cloud, to come and save everyone,” Old Zhao said.
“Old Zhao, where do we find this hero?” another asked.
“Well...” Old Zhao hesitated.
“Here he comes!” A sharp voice rang out.
Everyone turned to see the southern merchant standing atop an electric pole, cape fluttering, wearing a smug expression.
The southern merchant continued to boast, “There are no heroes in this world.”
Back on the train, after Bear Second helped Su He settle down, he introduced everyone to Dango.
“Dango, this is Bear Big, this is Bald Strong, the great lumberjack,” he said, finally pointing to Jiji and Maomao.
“As for those two...”
“Enough! We’ve known each other for a long time,” they interrupted.

Suddenly, Dango let out a painful growl. At that moment, the train lost control and plummeted rapidly downward.
Sensing the danger, Bald Strong rushed over to protect the weakened Su He.
“Su He, watch out!”
Fortunately, at the last moment, Dango managed to lessen the impact of the fall, preventing a massive disaster.
After everyone climbed out from the snowdrift, Bear Second anxiously ran over to the now noticeably smaller Dango.
“Dango, what’s wrong? Why did you shrink?”
“Bear Second, there’s a thermal bomb stuck to Dango’s back. Quickly help pull it out.”
“Oh, okay.”
Bear Second found the device and pulled it out with all his strength.
At the moment the thermal bomb was removed, Dango howled toward the sky. Blue crystals began to form on his body again. Su He, fighting her weakness, drew from the last of her spiritual energy to soothe Dango’s wounds, and slowly his complexion improved.
“Su He, what just happened to Dango?”
Before Su He could answer, Bald Strong spoke up, “He’s suppressing the fury inside him. If he loses control, that rage will destroy everything around him.”
“Bald Strong, what do you mean? Explain yourself clearly! Don’t slander Dango!” Bear Second said, his temper flaring, but Bear Big quickly stepped in to calm him.
“Bear Second, what Bald Strong says is true. Dango is indeed holding back his anger,” Su He explained as she continued to channel spiritual energy into Dango.
At that moment, Bald Strong pulled out the southern merchant’s tablet and played a video.
“Look at this, footage taken earlier on the train. Dango is actually the mountain god of White Bear Mountain—the very mountain god Old Zhao has spoken of since we were kids. If the mountain god becomes angry, the volcano will erupt, and disaster will befall White Bear Mountain. Old Zhao says this is the consequence of our reckless logging and destruction of the mountain.”
Hearing this, Bear Second covered his head, haunted by the terrifying visions from his dreams.
“No, that’s not true. Dango isn’t like that,” he said, then suddenly ran to Su He.
“Su He, you must have a way, right? Please tell me how to save Dango.”
“Bear Second, Dango’s spiritual energy is nearly depleted. We have to return him to White Bear Mountain. Only there can we hope to save him,” Su He said.

Nearby, Jiji heard Su He’s words and recalled the mysterious powers she had witnessed earlier.
“Su He, how do you know so much? And what was that strange power I saw earlier?”
Pale and exhausted, Su He shook her head. “There’s no time to explain. Those villains won’t give up easily; they’ll be back soon. We have to act quickly.”
“Alright.”
“Wait, you guys take Dango up first. I’ll wait below with a flyer and come up to assist you,” Su He said.
That night, snowflakes drifted down from the sky as one vehicle after another headed toward White Bear Mountain through the forest.
Inside one car, Old Zhao, drunk, warned those around him, “Listen to your elders or suffer the consequences. You outsiders won’t come back alive.”
Er Gou, with arms crossed, frowned at Old Zhao. “Stop nagging already. You’ve repeated that a hundred times. It’s annoying.”
Nearby, Big Horse Monkey praised the southern merchant.
“Boss, your plan’s brilliant. You’ve gathered so many people.”
“Just sprinkling some water,” the southern merchant said with a smirk. “They want a hero? I’ll give them a hero.”
He then stood and showed everyone photos on his phone of Su He’s transformation.
“Look carefully. This person is a monster, covered in snake scales, with the power to freeze people instantly. He follows that white bear and will bring disaster to all of us.”
Those riding in the car stared at the images, doubtful.
“A hero? Are you sure? He looks like just a kid. How could he be a monster?”
“Hmph. Kid? Has anyone ever seen a child covered in snake scales who can freeze people in an instant? If we don’t catch him now, he’ll become an even greater threat and bring ruin to everyone here.”
“Catch him! Catch him!” Big Horse Monkey egged them on, and soon the others were fired up, eager to capture Su He.
Watching the crowd, the southern merchant grinned, clutching the photo of Su He.
“Ha! Last time you were lucky to escape. This time, I will catch you, Su He. Just wait to become a stepping stone in my legend.”
