Whenever she thought of Lin Lan, she always called out “Qingbo, Qingbo,” never realizing that Qingbo was actually her grandfather. Although they had asked countless times since learning about the emperor’s arranged marriage, they still questioned everything with the curiosity of children.
The sudden arrival of the three figures shocked Xu Kongding and his companions beyond measure. What was even more unimaginable was the profound and unfathomable power they sensed emanating from these three, far surpassing that of Jiang Xuchen.
Those purple eyes were clouded with a grave and solemn expression, while Yihu felt the power within his own body, his eyes tightly closed.
The priest, accustomed to a life of ease, had never endured such agony. The pain from his fingers being broken, as if his ten fingers were connected to his heart, contorted his entire face as he wailed in misery.
Jack chose one for himself first; the rest were to be awarded to those who made outstanding contributions in spreading true names.
If he had no intention of compromising, he wouldn’t have been so eager to meet me. What exactly was he scheming?
All obstacles seemed to vanish—the ruins, the buildings— as if removed by some force. Yan felt exposed on an open plain, with endless hordes of undead surging toward him.
Back then, when Huo Erniu saw the masked figure in the villa, he detected a unique metallic scent from him.
Now in his thirties, Qin Feng had a dark complexion and wore a plain black robe. His appearance and attire were utterly unremarkable, attracting no attention.
“I’ve said all that needs saying. What more is there to talk about? I suggest you wash up and get some sleep; don’t make a fuss here,” Xiao Chen taunted.
As for the reason, there seemed to be only two possibilities: either his mental resilience was extraordinarily strong, or that earlier “proposal” was merely a joke to tease her—anyone who took it seriously would lose.
Though the mountain path was smooth, the early dawn meant scattered stones caused some stumbling. Wanyan Xiao said no more; Yan Yue focused entirely on her footing. Silently, the two headed straight down the mountain. The horse left at the foot of the mountain yesterday had disappeared, but the carriage remained intact. The fate of the coachman, however, was unknown.
“If His Majesty is unharmed, this servant will take my leave now!” Yan Yue refused to argue. There was no need to disclose her lack of experience to the man; all she wanted now was to leave.

After the calm returned, Huan Xi was still pondering how to explain her sudden lapse. Yu Kun had evidently begun to suspect her, and the recent commotion only intensified his doubts. Yet Qing Yuan’s words clearly offered her a way out, which was a relief.
“Oh, Mom, don’t worry. The enemy has been repelled by Han Yu. But the country is in trouble now, and Han Yu must return to the capital immediately. We’re to stay indoors for the time being,” Chen Shishi said with a faint smile.
“Yes, Brother Yu,” Zhang Jian nodded, quickly lifting Ma Lu off the ground and carrying him away.
“Miss An, have you ever traveled far before? Walked so many roads?” Su Ming, unusually, took the initiative to ask.
It was unimaginable that Chai Shu, a sovereign of a nation, would stoop to such despicable acts. That man was utterly unworthy of being her grandfather.
“Bald Brother, today Xiao Chen had a conflict with the son of Mayor Chen and Zhou Shui. They even came to blows, injuring three of Zhou Shui’s bodyguards. Given their personalities, they won’t let this go; they’re bound to seek revenge,” Old Ghost said gravely.
Rising to his feet, the sky was still dark, the moon hanging in the heavens, its soft light casting a poetic glow over Suiye City.
Anxious, he forced himself to investigate further, descending past the twentieth floor, yet finding no survivors.
He longed to witness this divine technique: opening the chest without death—unheard of. Today, seeing it would shake the very foundations of death itself.
With a dull thud, the big cat’s skull was crushed by Zhang Zhi, its brain matter and blood spurting out—dead beyond doubt.
Struggling, he pushed aside the layers of corpses pressing down on him, his frail figure staggering to his feet.
Had Tang Tang never appeared after he returned to 2008, perhaps he wouldn’t feel this urgent desire to immediately learn news of her.
Feng Feiyang finished speaking and rose, lifting the hem of his robe and tucking it into his belt. His movements were graceful and elegant, the very image of a handsome young gentleman.
Feng Feiyang couldn’t help but smile, as if a flower had blossomed at the corner of his lips. He reached out to wipe away the tears on Can Chun’s face and laughed softly.

Suddenly, Gongsun Du recalled the earlier suspicions he and Xu Rong had shared. He scrutinized Wei You again, then revisited historical records about him. It turned out Wei You was skilled in governance and had prevented a war between Liu Yu and Gongsun Zan—he seemed to be a good man.
Though Shen Wan said this, Xu Ma and Ping’er remained worried and reluctant to let Shen Wan go out. Shen Wan paid them no heed and left; by the time Xu Ma and Ping’er realized, Shen Wan was already in the courtyard.
She often appeared before others as a self-reliant and strong woman, but wasn’t that all to better protect her own heart?
Song Shi spoke as she struck Qin Juren, who was no pushover and certainly unwilling to be beaten by Song Shi. Soon, the two were locked in a fierce struggle.
“It’s alright. Ten thousand commanding power is still manageable, with a fifty percent chance of failure. The third attempt will definitely succeed,” Shi Tian told himself, suppressing the urge to curse and forcing himself to continue.
“No problem. However, I’ll need you to produce a large quantity of beast transformation potions. Requirements aren’t high; just these will suffice,” Shi Tian said calmly.
“This place should be an ancient ruin. Although it holds treasures,I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
